So it was a great event…? Maybe we did a good job, but we certainly made mistakes. Making sure we leave the harbour clean (preferably even cleaner then how we found it) both on shore and on the water is something we need to improve on. Also we still don’t seem to get the transfer…

The smallest class at the North Sea Regatta: The Flying Dutchman

Enno Kramer en Ard Geelkerken have been sailing together for the past 17 years, which is prize worthy in itself, but they also won every single race at this event! The six Flying Dutchman’s, being the smallest class sailing on the South Course, had no trouble getting around the course, although they would have love to see a few more out there.

Contenders excited to be back at North Sea Regatta

Ten Dutch and one Belgium Contender are battling wind, waves and each other at the North Sea this weekend. Conditions are tricky, but Paul Verhallen (NED 9) is not complaining: “We really like sailing here in Scheveningen and we’re super happy the Contenders are part of the North Sea Regatta again. I will definitely tell the race director how thankful we are to be here.”
